Full original description
A woman who wears on her head what looks like a small bottle or barrel intended to contain the palm wine or the chapaló for the libations.
Kulango art is influenced by ethnic groups Akan. The head, as in the art of ballet occupies an important part of the body, approximately a third and also short and strong legs. Conical touch and firm and generous breasts. Straight nose, important, under well-marked ciliary arches and practically imperceptible mouth. A little rope around the waist that seems to have held a sex cover. His navel, between rectangular and trapezoidal, is striking, and is extremely rare in African art.
Dark, rough patina, which presents the appearance of having been the object of ritual libations. It can be a family altar statue.
