Full original description
Representation of a Senegalese "tirailleur". They receive this name from the composition of two French words "Tire" and "ailleurs", that is to say that he throws "outside" "to the other side". The body of the so-called Senegalese shooters was a corps of the French colonial army that recruited these men in the various overseas colonies not only in Senegal but in almost all of French West Africa. They fought for France in the two world wars and in other struggles since 1857 when the first regiment was created with Senegalese men from where they took the name.
