Ti Wara

Ti Wara female carrying her child on the basis of her horns, represented simply by a small horn with ears. It also has a stylized representation of the oricterpo, common in this type of bambara scimers. It presents a semi-sloped posture that is the one it adopts to defend itself against an attack and especially to defend its little ones.Dark skate with reddish shades of tekula in the concave parts.

The cymer Ti Wara represents the hypothragous antelope, which, according to the Bambara legend, would have given humans first cereals and taught them how to cultivate the land. This mask was on a helmet or cap of straw or raffia, with the outline pierced to fix it on the head of its carrier. This type of mask came from the region of Bougouni and is named after Gousougou or also Gouzoungou.

These masks dance by couples, male and female, and they are said to form only one being. They manifest themselves in the celebrations taking place in the fields at the harvest season. They ensure the fgermination of plants and the obtaining of a good harvest. Its bearers are covered by a dense garment of fibers and leaves that completely covers them.
