Full original description

It was common throughout the Niger Delta region, using this type of small bronze figures and the custom of placing them as an offering in niches practiced on the walls of houses, a custom that was maintained for quite some time, as evidenced by the numerous vestiges that are appearing. This type of statuette used to be slicing the molten metal onto a small stone. They were placed in the holes of Bandiagará's fault in the manner of exvotees. The man, sitting on his legs, appears thoughtful as he rests his arms along his body. Greenish patina.
