With expression and shears of the purest style mambila this cariatide presents its eyes in coffee beans and the heart-shaped face. Strange position and size of legs arms. Beautiful patina, honey.
Numerous are African art objects adorned with cariatids, mainly stools whose seat takes support on their heads. They are rarely used to sit, they are rather small prestigious furniture or employed in ceremonies and solemnities. The greatest artistic improvement of the highest object is the rank of its owner.
