Full original description
A woman started as her scarifications show. Short legs, without feet, on a base similar to that of the Ndebele statues. Elongated and conical breasts covered with scarifications. Bracelets carved in arms and legs and carved also what is, without doubt, a narrow sex cover of beads. The four blade-shaped stripes from a protruding navel represent Kultyolo, the old mother of the world, the supreme divinity of the Senufus. She has the classic headdress of ethnic women, but the ovoid shape of her mouth, with carved teeth, is rarely represented. Left hand restored. Dark brown patina.
