Full original description
Sculpture of women of high rank as denotes in fact to appear sitting and scarifications, represented by engraved brass plates, in front and abdomen. Prominent navel to reinforce the idea of motherhood, constant in every African woman. The arms torn from the body and bent to the elbows to hold the tip of the breasts, a gesture that also reinforces the idea of motherhood. Combged in the form of a three-pointed mane, forming the sides a front band. Patina for use.
