Full original description
Pipe made of light wood, like most mangbetu objects. It is an anthropomorphic figure that seems to represent a pregnant woman whose belly is the bowl. The head shows the classical deformation of the mangroves, but in the opposite direction. This type of object was resected to elders and notables. Natural wood without other pigmentation than the patina of time.
