Full original description
Very old bracelet from Ife. Although the generic name of IFE is given to certain pieces, it is not about ethnicity but about the place of origin. It has undoubtedly been manufactured by an ethnic group of Yoruba, probably the Edo or bBni, as well as the pieces of Benin. This bracelet is adorned with geometrical drawings in the form of a straight angle closed by arches of overlapping circumference. This is certainly a piece of the early century. XIX or earlier. Old copper patina.
