Full original description

Curious figure of hard and heavy wood bakongo woman. He presents himself naked with his hands on his sides and his right hand truly disproportionate to his left hand, which undoubtedly responds to a concrete intention of the author of the statue. Cylindrical and prominent navel to indicate that a woman is the bearer of life. Important breasts and well-marked facial features. She is an important woman as indicated by her curious hairstyle and the fact that she is sitting, shows an attitude of determination. Women with large breasts or fallen breasts are considered maternity wards even if they are not accompanied by children. The base is an extension of the trunk in which the piece has been carved. Nice patina for use.
