Full original description

Unusual black clay mask with large brass inlays to appear eyes, nose, ears and other features of the elongated face, decorated with cauris between non-metallic parts. At the top of the forehead are coins from the French colonization period in which can be read "Colonias under French mandate". This mask belonged to a Lebanese diplomat and comes from a command and canton near Yaoundé. It is undoubtedly a mask that embodies power, possibly a mask of justice.
