The scarifications in relief.
The function of their statues is varied, mainly related to the world of ancestors and spirits to whom they incarnate and worship to ensure their protection and which favor the fertility of fields and families. They are therefore protective figures that also intervene in healings and in divination rites. They express great serenity and dignity.
Magnificent statue that among its numerous details presents an elaborate comb. hands on the back to hold the child. This statue is intended for the cult of female fertility in family altars. Thick patina in some areas, probably vestige of old libations.
