Full original description

This statue with abundant scarifications throughout the body and on the face constitutes a beautiful sample of the statuery Dan. The solid style of this statue seems influenced by the Dan Yacuba from Liberia. The child attached to the mother’s back is not attached to the traditional cloth, has its legs and arms extended and has scarifications along the entire spine. The mother's hair is made of vegetable fibers braided in the way of ropes and form a juxtaposition of tails throughout the head. The mother covered by a loincloth has metal teeth. Dark patina, practically black.
