Full original description
These statues of a man lifting an arm represent a man who has suffered a serious setback. It is a gesture of request for help to alleviate your misfortune. If the misfortune hit the matriclan it will raise his left arm by tilting his head in this direction and to the right side if it is the patriclan. These statuettes serve to communicate with the spirits that invade them, the thils, which are the ancestors of the clan and the matriclan and which govern the daily life of the people. They are kept in family altars, where they are the object of offerings. Dark patina.
