Full original description
Small bronze container with a circular base, measuring around 15 to 20 centimetres. Without the lid, it does not usually exceed 10 or 15. It often stands on a filigree base. Its walls may be smooth or decorated with reliefs depicting religious, ethnic or cosmogonic symbols.
Groups of people or animals may appear on the lid, recreating tribal or court scenes. These small containers were used to store gold nuggets and gold dust, as well as magical or healing substances intended to produce a vital force. They were used in funerary rituals to help the deceased pass into the afterlife.
This kuduo has ribbed walls and broad handles for grasping it. On the lid, a snake tries to bite a bird. Old patina.
