Full original description

For Bidjogo everything sacred is called “iran”, whether it be an altar, a statue or a seat, and they are respected and feared objects. In this case we have an altar figure represented by the torso of a man surrounded by a snake with the appearance of a dragon with two heads standing behind his back and which the man holds with his hands. A head is missing that has been lost through use and time. The snake python bidjogo is particular, it is presented in the most diverse forms, elongated, short and robust and often with a crest on the head that sometimes confers on it the appearance of a dragon, in that case with two heads. Part that has served for decades the cult of the Bidjogo.
