Full original description
Given the numerous sculptural details of this figure it is without doubt a king or a very important chief or dignitary, as evidenced by the fact that he is sitting with all majesty on an Akan stool or throne, with the cane finely chiseled. Barb and headdress magnificently sculpted. Numerous scarifications throughout the body and bracelets on the arms. Very worked sculpture. Dark patina, costrose type.
