Full original description

Delicate and beautiful statue of a woman fanning the grain using two half pumpkins. Great perfection in the details of female anatomy and in her dress. Like every African mother, during her chores, she carries the child behind her back. Great profusion of details, both for the headdress and for the necklace and bracelets. The sculptor has managed to give the figure an amazing impression of movement. This statue belonged to an old man from a small town called Zongo, fifteen kilometers from the capital Ouagadougou, who inherited it from his ancestors.
