Full original description

Small fine statuette of a young woman Fangsitting on a stool and in prayerful attitude. Not all the statues missing a member have lost it after a break. It is common for clan members to pluck that absent member to cut them into small pieces in order to prepare amulets or reliquaries, called grey-grey, intended to attract the favors of ancestors who are already in the realm of spirits. These relics are a symbolic form for a part of the ancestor to remain with them in this world. This is surely a small reliquary statue of a deceased young woman. Brown patina.
