Full original description

Young woman belonging to the class of notables as indicated by the bracelets worn in arms, forearms and ankles. Arms in jars, hands in hips. Very rare position in the African statuary. It shows a prominent navel, frequent in Africa due to bad practices when cutting the umbilical cord. His feet are missing, probably torn off to make "grisgris" (amulets), as they are protective figurines and it is common, as in some other small wooden figures, to tear small pieces to make amulets. Time skate.
