Full original description

The word Zaulí designates both the mask and the traditional dance of the country. The Zauli mask is also called "Djelalu Zaouli" meaning "Zauli daughter of Djela". Although it has become one of the most important masks, next to the Zamblé, dates only from the middle of the century XX. This mask favors the productivity of the village.

This mask, with a marked feminine face, seems to manifest joy.

Variety of polychrome, with paintings imported from Europe, in which the red colour stands out. Accuse the patina of time. A small horn of abundance adorns the hairstyle.
