This mask is presented in the color of the wood with which it has been sculpted, without any kind of polychrome. Like the mask Lomane belongs to the secret society Djé. Its expression is delicate, which contrasts with the great power of which it is invested, because it also represents the “yu”, a supernatural power intermediate between God and men. It will be favorable or unfavorable to humans to the extent that they honor it. Participates in the funerals of the notables and accompanies the spirit of the deceased until the iremoflaIt always intervenes in night ceremonies, so that the group recovers its life force after the disorder caused by the death of one of its members. These masks are, therefore, the incarnation of powerful and fearsome supernatural powers.
