Full original description
The masks of the Djimini represent the good geniuses or the spirits of the ancestors. Its main institution is the Do or Lo, which centralizes most ceremonies, mainly funeral ceremonies and on the occasion of the birth of twins. These masks appear in ritual ceremonies, mainly funerals and those intended to worship ancestors. The djimini masks have great resemblance to the senufo masks and this one in particular with the kpelyé mask. This mask has suffered an attack from the xylophages, especially important at the top. Black patina.
