Full original description

Loa Djimini They paid an expensive tribute for opposing Samory's canquest, which is why very few artistic manifestations have come to us, and practically non-existent ones of their time. This mask dates from the beginning of the century XX and belongs to the society of the Do. Participates in funeral ceremonies aimed at honoring the notable deceased and ancestors and also in those organized to celebrate the arrival in the world of twins. This mascra is played with a curious hairstyle based on overlapping triangles from which two lateral braids fall that, in reality, like the senufo are two legs of antelope. Masks like rare statues are representations of the spirits of ancestors, that is, of good spirits.
