Full original description
Curious punu mask that differs considerably from the usual mukuyi masks. They stand out, in black, the mouth, nose and eyes with a considerable relief. The profiles of the mouth, eyebrows, and eyes are stumped by a twisted copper thread forming several parallel rows. The face is covered with a thick white granular layer, which looks like kaoli with some other component. The rest of the mask is black. It wears tribal scarifications but does not respect the canons of ethnicity.
