Full original description

Former mask hangs from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zaire for many years. Face painted with kaolin on which stands a large black eye orbit and pointed nose, red boba, inverted triangular form. Like most of their masks They are characterized by a long beard with geometric drawings in the shape of a spike or rhomboidal drawings, in this case red and white, lines in angle typical of the ethnic group, which appear the scarifications. The beard starts with two rows of black and white triangles. These masks come from the western part of the country, from the Katundu region, they are called “victorious hunter masks” and just as most masks hang their use at the end of the initiation cycle.

Male figure with slight occipital deformation. Realistic face with European morphological influence, possibly as sequelae of colonization. In its pigmentation dominates the kaolin and brown tone. Adornment formed by parallel broken lines along the neck that create white and red rhomboidal drawings.
