Full original description
The Toma Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry, Liberia and western Ivory Coast are in place. The Toma The Poro is the most important society and deals with the initiation of young people, which takes place in the sacred forest. And it is this mask that welcomes young people to adult society. All of its masks have the same features, flat face under a flimsy forehead, with remarkable relief, which clearly marks the separation between face and forehead. Straight nose and lack of mouth. Eyes, sometimes open or sometimes are only two stripes.
In the hairstyle of this mask, on which three small ridges stand out restancular and frontal, there are two protective amulets and a side rope braids. A band of geometrical drawings on the forehead.
