Full original description

Mask Ogoni Elu, meaning spirit, of wood painted with kaoli and black pigmentation on the headdress, ears and red lips. Articulated jaw characteristic of the so-called talking masks. Vertical, longer frontal scarification and temporary scarifications similar to those of the Punu. Ripped eyes, fleshy lips and black nose tip. Curious headdress, black, formed by two platforms separated by a small columns and the rear base. On the upper platform is raised a central protuberance like a bow or coca, flanked by two fins. These masks represent a whole series of characters from a humorous point of view highlighting their vices and virtues, but they also protect their wearer cotra the sorcerers and the evil eye. And they illustrate aspects of their oral tradition.
