Full original description
A cymer representing a human head, with horns, on which appears a female character painted in red, sitting and gripping the horns. Both characters wear the typical facial scarification of masks agbogho. On the back appears a braid that mimics the spirals of the horns, the braid is black like the rest of the hairs. The white color of the faces is painted with kaolin, the red color seems made of tukula and resin seaweed. This is a funeral mask that could represent a mother with her deceased youngest daughter. The head sits on a circular base that simulates a feather bed. Old patina.
