Full original description
Although a large part of the Baulé statues of the so-called "colonial style", with a red body, which is the color they assign to the Europeans of the colonial era, there are also numerous representations of black characters, as there were also numerous Africans who were at the service of settlers. This man, long-looking, tienne arms stuck along the body, with an inexpressive face, as was quite usual. Barefoot on his pedestal, he is dressed in a short underpants, blackened by time, just like the whole sculpture.
