Full original description
Statue of an ancestor in very dense wood. An elongated figure with double braid in the beard that holds it with both hands. Often the beard braided in male figures is a vestige, apparently, of the passage of the Egyptians through these lands. The bearding with both hands represents the wisdom of the elders. Numerous scarifications. The figure goes on a monoblock base. Bead necklaces that adorn the neck and belly have been added later.
