Full original description
Five-string harp whose resonance box is covered in snakeskin. From a small village in Nigeria south of Kano. On the resonance box a female character of high rank, for his headdress and his scarifications, appears with his hands in his belly and seems to be listening to the melodies of the griot. Its elaborate hairstyle has three braids, two sides forming arches and one that overmounts the head to bend behind the back of the neck. Brown patina.
