Full original description
The pipe is a prestigious object, essentially masculine, that indicates the rank of its owner. Some are notable for their beauty and careful elaboration especially the pipes made of bronze by the procedure of lost wax, others are of clay and bone as in this case. Sometimes they can reach important dimensions. Most of the time they are not smoked in them, they are objects of ceremony or prestige. The saucepan and pipe reed represent two human heads.
