Full original description
Anthropomorphic fifura of garn head resting on a disc that simulates the shoulders and that together with the base constitutes the whole body. The bozo are the oldest inhabitants of the plains between the Niger and Bani rivers. There are bozos in Burkina faso, Mali and Nigeria. It is a village of fishermen and growers. Centuries ago they embraced Islam. They have the mythology of the Mendé peoples, the same as the Bambara. This stone could be a weight to keep the nets at the bottom of the water.
