Full original description

Civilization Igbo-Ukwu is developed in eastern Nigeria, mainly during the centuries IX and X. This civilization was unknown until the year 1938, when it was discovered casually by a peasant digging a well. It cannot be linked to any other culture in the region, but it reveals the existence of a powerful and refined kingdom whose current descendants are the Igbos or Ibos.
