Full original description
Ancient weighs in the form of a bird, possibly from the century XIX. This bird with its head turned back receives the name Sankofa and symbolizes the king who knows everything that happens behind his back, as the proverb says, and also the sage who knows how to take into account the past time.
The bird is also a source of proverbs, for example, "Only birds of the same species can play in the same tree" or "The bird that has fallen into a trap avoids singing". Very old patina.
