Full original description
It is a bust of Oba or king of Benin that is difficult to define. It is a very rusty piece that denotes the passage of years or centuries. The Oba appears with the ritual scepter of command in the hands and the headdress and necklace of ceremonies. Very rare piece in the statuery of the Bini/Edo, totally atypical expression.
