Full original description

These masks intervene for the enthronement of the chiefs and assert the rank of women in a society in which the power of the notables comes from women, from their female ancestors, evoking in a special way Queen Abla Pokou. They also humorously receive the name "food vse burns" because women subjugated by the beauty of these masks forget that they have left food on fire. Long face and headdress with a comb in the central part. Like all the Baulé masks, it expresses great serenity. The small beard that adorns his chin is a sign of respect, of notability. Light brown patina.
