Full original description
Relatively small but heavy statue of a gentleman I drank.. Very rare are bronze pieces representing a man of ethnicities Akan Horse riding. I've drunkThey live around the lagoon of the same name, bordering Abidjan. The horse is quite rudimentary. The knight holds the reins with his left hand while the right grabs his long beard, symbol that denotes that it is a remarkable one. He wears a bracelet on the top of each arm and a dorsal scarification. It is a protective figure of the family. These statues representing the ancestors were the object of worship in the family altars. Very old dark patina.
