Full original description

Mask with a human face that looks like a woman with scarifications and sometimes carrying amulets on her headdress. It now appears at the leisure festivals and also promotes the productivity of the village.

Curious leather mask, with a dark influence, with a hairstyle of six loops from which the braids of the ends join together. The morphology of the face is totally Zauli, however the rest of the mask is totally baule, with white ciliary arches which undoubtedly indicates that we are facing a funeral mask.

We ignore the area of origin of the mask, certainly within the limits of the country, and even more possible that the mask has been sculpted by a guro sculptor. It is very common for a renowned sculptor to make pieces for another ethnic group. Black patina.
