A beautiful representation of a young initiate, as indicated by her hairstyle and scarifications, and, judging by the beauty of her appearance, a Baule princess. A piece in the purest Baule style, distinguished by the gentleness and inward reflection of its expression and the softness of its features. This piece belonged to a minister in one of Cameroon’s first governments.
