Enquire about this objectFull original description
Enigmatic and curious statue. With one hand in the ear and the other on the opposite shoulder as in a listening attitude invites to think that it is a family altar statuette, presenting the ancestor attentive to the pleas of his descendants.
This statuette represents exactly the same attitude as some mintadi of the lower Congo steatite, specifically the one kept in the Luigi-Pignorini Museum of Rome, acquired in 1.887.
